The cottage was built in 1951; a
large sitting room and double bedroom were added in 1963. All the rooms are
on one floor, with a double garage under the dining room - as the cottage is
built on a slope.
Access: There are about 10 broad steps up to the front door, and a slope
plus two steps to enter the cottage via the sitting room.
There is outside parking for several cars, and a sheltered secluded garden,
which stretches wild for half an acre, back up the hill towards the dunes.
There is a wonderful view of the estuary at all states of tide.
Rock is a village on the north
Cornwall coast, on the Camel estuary opposite Padstow.
The cottage is about 50m from a safe, sandy beach, and has a fine view over
the estuary.
Access from the garden out onto the dunes.
There is good sailing, boating, bathing, wind surfing and water ski-ing in
the bay.
Fishing trips can be arranged. Surfing at Polzeath 2 miles.
Golf at St. Enodoc Golf Club 300yds.
Butcher, baker, post office, off licence, newsagent, delicatessen, general
grocer, fishmonger, all in the village about half a mile away.
Two pubs 100yds.
Ferry boat across the estuary to Padstow shops and bank.
Good coastal walks.
Wadebridge is about 7 miles; and has a
cinema,
swimming pool, and all shopping
amenities. |
